P.T.A Statement for Accounts Year Ending March 2021
Due to the Covid pandemic this financial year, the P.T.A have been unable to hold our annual Christmas and Summer Fairs. We have therefore, had to find alternative ways of fundraising during these difficult times.
In December 2020, the decision was made to set up an ‘Easyfundraising’ account to allow people to raise money whilst shopping online. To the financial year end, this has raised a total of £240.76. (monies not yet collected) This will be an ongoing method of raising funds with the hope that we attract more and more contributors over time. The Easyfundraising app will continue to be promoted at every opportunity.
Also during December the P.T.A ran a Christmas Prize Draw using the online platform, Crowdfunder. This was a great success and with many kind prize donations, raised much needed funds totaling £791.25 (after fees).
The balance of the P.T.A account as at 31st March 2021 stands at £2229.46 in credit.
We are very much in need of new members to join the St John’s School P.T.A and would welcome new people to the team. We hope to set up an online meeting inviting parents to join and help continue to raise much needed funds to provide our children with extra resources. Future online fundraising activities are especially vital with the ongoing Covid pandemic.
